The Canine Services Training Center (CSTC) was founded in 2015 to provide quality canine service animals to veterans, first responders and other individuals suffering from physical, neurological and emotional illnesses. Scott Jones is a retired firefighter, veteran and the Senior Trainer for this admirable non-profit organization.

Scott co-founded the organization with the goal of providing appropriate service dogs to designated candidates at no cost to the individuals. Applicants are screened, flown in and housed at their facility in Live Oak, FL. While there they are paired with a suitable canine, and both human and canine are trained to understand and relate to one another. Accommodation and sustenance are provided free of charge to both the individual and the canine. Successful canine and human partners are then flown home together, again at no cost to the individuals.

In order to provide this much needed service they run several fundraising events throughout the year. We would like to encourage those of you reading this to consider financially supporting CSTC or contributing a donation of some kind that will aid their efforts. You can contact them directly for more details or to make donations on their website.

Upcoming fundraisers during March-June 2018 include the following events:

March: A joint venture with 10 Can, Inc. involving a 2 day land/river 60 mile survival race

April: A 50 mile MiniYak event covering 50 miles in one day

May: Attendance at the AMK9 US Canine Biathlon

June: Hosting a trail ride

All events are designed as challenging activities for both the individual and/or their canine companion.
